Canadian DO NOT CALL LIST

The National Do Not Call List (DNCL) gives consumers a choice about whether to receive telemarketing calls. The National DNCL Rules introduce new responsibilities for Canada’s telemarketers.

The National DNCL filters out consumers who do not want to receive unsolicited calls. This helps ensure that the households you do contact are more likely to be receptive – streamlining your calling process and potentially improving overall response rates.

Considering that I used to workat the Ryerson’s call centre – calling alumni to ask for donations – I’m wondering whether this applies to universities and those pesky callers :D
